Seeking therapy was a crucial part of my training
I couldn’t ask people to sit on the couch if I didn’t know what it was like. Along the journey I became passionate about sharing the magic of a gentle inquiry process. I now aim to help clients seek the truth within themselves, creating alignment with their authenticity…because when we cannot be who we are, we suffer immensely.
Through personal and professional experience I discovered that therapy can not only be a place to process painful experiences, but also to practice meaningful skills such as mindfulness, self compassion, body awareness, boundaries and more. When we commit to inquiry and practice, life can become less overwhelming -even if nothing tangible changes.
I was not surprised to find that, while many of us are tempted to think our way out of our pain, the more we can get the body involved in the inquiry process, the more potent the work is. I now gently guide clients towards building awareness and listening to their bodies just as much as they listen to their minds. There are many ways to do this and I am happy to share practices with you to support you in building this connection.
Through this work, I have come to witness how many people feel tired, alone, heartbroken, frustrated, judged, targeted, unsupported, and generally dissatisfied. I also get to see people who commit to this work be rewarded with a sense of peace, confidence, trust, and ease. It’s not easy work, it’s not a quick fix, sometimes things feel worse before they feel better, and most of the time it’s hard to see the growth while it’s happening -but I wouldn’t offer something I didn’t fully believe in. I hope to see you along your path of healing.
